About the meeting: While product managers seek to put forth a strategic vision that is informed by the needs of the market, we often find ourselves sucked into the Agile swirl, iterating within an echo chamber that frequently drifts out of earshot of the voice of the customer. In this session, we’ll discuss ways in which product managers can reinstill the practice of market research and competitive analysis, so that we can be tuned into the problems and changing dynamics that customers within different markets are currently—or may soon be—facing.
About the presenter: Jeff Downing has 15 years of experience in digital product management, having led the development of an array of software products from concept through launch, in areas such as adaptive learning, virtual simulation, and health information management. Jeff oversees product management and marketing at ScholarRx, which is working to build a healthier world through accessible, sustainable medical education.
About the event: This meeting is part of the weekly Venture Café Gathering at CIC. Every Thursday from 3:00 – 8:00pm, The Venture Café welcomes the innovation community to “a weekly gathering of innovators and startups. A place for serendipitous collisions to occur.
