Thursday, February 4, 2016: The Design of Everyday Activities:
Applying Design Thinking to business, strategy, and interactions with Brad Gutting
Meeting Information
Meetings are open to everyone — there is no charge to attend. This will be held at The Venture Cafe Gathering at CIC from 7-7:45pm — see directions and details below.
About the meeting: “Human Centered Design” has become a hot topic lately, but how does it work from a practical vantage to produce measurable, sustained value? In this event, we’ll discuss fundamental design principles and how they can be used to improve frequently overlooked aspects of product management and development, looking specifically at scoping projects and optimizing interactions between the key stakeholders involved.
About the Presenter: Brad Gutting. “For over 13 years, I’ve designed experiences and interactions for companies in organizations in industries ranging from healthcare, insurance, agriculture, biotech, sports and the arts. My curiosity about the world, people, organizations, and ideas both abstract and concrete drives my approach to thinking and designing. I believe that great design creates possibilities, clarifies objectives, changes minds, optimizes processes, and produces measurable outcomes for any challenge. I studied history, Latin, and philosophy at Indiana University and design at Portfolio Center in Atlanta.”
