Overview: Research is a key component at an early stage in product development, but it shouldn’t stop there. For your product to thrive at all stages in its lifecycle, you need to have your finger on the pulse of what’s happening in your environment. Do you already track customer needs? Hopefully you do, but that’s not enough! Ongoing market intelligence can play a crucial role in how your product or service succeeds in the marketplace. This session will provide an overview of what market intelligence entails, examples of how market intelligence helps product management, and tips on how you can get enhance your market intelligence efforts immediately.

About the presenter, Shelly Azar: Shelly Azar, principal of Insight Researchers, has been working in the field of market intelligence since 1996. Her experience both as a corporate practitioner and as a consultant has been with companies large and small, public and private, in the US and abroad … and in a variety of industries.

  • 5:30pm: Arrivals, informal networking
  • 6:00pm: Meeting begins
  • 7:30pm-ish: Meeting adjourns
  • Location: SAVVIS; 1 SAVVIS Parkway, Chesterfield, MO, 63017. (Google map of SAVVIS)
  • Directions from the West:
    • Take 64/40 East to Woods Mill / Highway 141 (Exit 22)
    • At the end of the exit ramp, go straight (parallel to 64/40)
    • Move to the right, following signs for South Outer Forty
    • The SAVVIS building will be on your right; turn right after you pass it and park in the main parking lot on the South side of the building
    • Follow signs in through the main entrance
  • Directions from the East:
    • Take 64/40 West to Woods Mill / Highway 141 (Exit 22)
    • Move to the right and follow signs for South Outer Forty
    • You will make a U-turn under the highway, and then move to the right, following signs for South Outer Forty
    • The SAVVIS building will be on your right; turn right after you pass it and park in the main parking lot on the South side of the building
    • Follow signs in through the main entrance
